Dr. Melinda B. Chu, M.D. M.B.A., is a seasoned healthcare professional and business leader with a diverse range of experiences. As a Venture Scout with DNA Capital, she brings a fresh perspective and deep expertise to the table.

Dr. Chu received her undergraduate degree in History of Science from Princeton University and completed her medical training at Saint Louis University. She has participated in and coordinated over 14 sponsored clinical trials, and has led the conception and implementation of 3 investigator-initiated trials during her residency, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the clinical trial development process. Her research has primarily focused on skin cancer and cancer immunotherapy, resulting in 10+ publications and 20+ abstracts presented at regional, national, and international meetings.

In addition to her medical background, Dr. Chu holds an Executive MBA from the Washington University Olin Business School. She has served as CEO for healthcare startups and currently serves on the advisory board for others.  She also consults with startups and mentors in her free time.

Outside of work, Dr. Chu enjoys playing tennis and traveling the world.
